About G9 Cavendish Banana

Grand Naine, traded as G9, is the Cavendish selection that underpins India’s banana export trade. Fruit is cut at hard-green maturity — typically around 75–80% — so it withstands reefer transit and ripens under controlled conditions at the destination, which is the standard buyers in Iran, Iraq and the Gulf purchase against.

Bunches are de-handed, washed, treated and packed as four to six hands per 13.5 kg carton with poly lining. A 40 ft reefer carries approximately 1,540 cartons, or around 20 metric tons, which is our minimum order for this product.

Containers run at 13–14°C with controlled ventilation, giving roughly thirty to forty days of transit and storage life — comfortably sufficient for Gulf and Middle East routes. Cutting is scheduled against your vessel date rather than in advance, so transit time is used productively rather than consumed before loading.
